By clicking on a "Requested" return on the dashboard's returns table, you land on the Approval page.
Here, you decide whether or not you accept this return request.
In the note section on the bottom right, you will see your customer's wishes if they've requested an exchange.
On this page as well as on all the others, you will be able to choose the chosen refund method, between a refund to your customer’s credit card, or store credit via a gift card. Approval-wise, note that you can approve some items but not others, or all, or none.
Also note that at the bottom of the approval page, you control whether or not your customer receives a notification. It is turned on by default.
If checked on, you can add a custom message and a shipping label to that email.
For the sake of our example, we will approve everything:
Once that is done, a few things happen:
On their side, your customer will receive an email detailing the items Approved to be returned.
A Shopify return is officially created, and you can also see its development on the Shopify order page:
Back to the dashboard, your return’s status has been updated to “Approved”.
Clicking on it, we are now sent to the Inspection page.
